So I have not posted any pictures of myself recently, and there is a reason why. I recently made the decision to start my natural hair care journey. I had been contemplating for 2-3 months. The maintenance of my previous cut was becoming difficult to keep up, expensive and I was just tired of dealing with it.

Finally, one afternoon I washed my hair grabbed the scissors and went to work!

My biggest reason for making this decision is for the love of my life, my little girl. I just never want her to feel like she has to put in hair extensions that hang down the middle of her back or have bone straight “nap-less” hair to be beautiful.

So this is it! Fully Natural. Even my hair care products are 100% natural.

I wash my hair with Terresentials Organic Pure Earth Hair Wash.

Ingredients:

Organic aloe vera juice°, clay minerals, organic extract° of organic linden
flower°, essential oils of organic true lavender° and organic sweet orange°,
extracts of organic nettle°, organic chamomile° and organic shavegrass°,
essential oils of organic rose geranium°, organic ylang ylang° and organic clove
bud°.

°USDA Certified Organic

I condition & moisturize my hair with mixtures made right in my own kitchen.

And although I wasn’t really loving myself with my new hair I have learned to embrace it. My hair has never been so healthy. For all of you women of color (or women with naturally curly hair) you will understand what I mean when I say… I am no longer avoid the rain. I don’t have to wear a shower cap. And I will not give you the death stare if you get my hair wet in the pool!
